Expert Chimney care

Services Provided

We will carry out chimney sweeping and inspection services as requested by the customer. This includes the removal of soot, debris, and bird nests (where legally permissible). A visual inspection will be conducted, and a chimney sweeping certificate will be issued if appropriate.

We will only carry out work that has been agreed upon. If, during the course of the job, we identify additional issues requiring further work or expense, we will notify you immediately, to discuss the necessary actions and associated costs before proceeding.

Birds Nest Removal

We cannot remove bird nests between 1st March and 31st August unless there is no evidence of birds. With your consent, we will clear any nests or blockages outside of these dates and bag the debris, but disposal remains the homeowner's responsibility.

Customer Responsibilities

• Ensure clear and safe access to the chimney, fireplace, and surrounding area before the scheduled appointment. 
• Remove any furniture, ornaments, or obstructions from the hearth and nearby surfaces.
• Notify us in advance of any suspected bird nests, obstructions, or known issues with the chimney or flue.
• Provide a suitable area for us to leave bagged debris, if necessary.
• You are responsible for the disposal of all bagged debris, soot, or nesting material collected during the sweep.

Limitations of Service

• We do not carry out structural repairs, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, unsafe chimney structures, or defective flue systems.
• We do not remove waste or debris from the property, other than soot and debris collected in our vacuum. Other materials removed during our work will be bagged and left on-site for the customer to dispose of.
• If we determine that work cannot be safely carried out (e.g., due to a blocked or damaged flue), we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the service.

Payment Terms

• Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the service, after which you will receive an emailed copy of your certificate.
• Accepted payment methods include: Cash, BACS Bank Transfer, Debit/Credit Card.
• Late payments beyond 14 days may incur a £20 charge in accordance with UK law. Additional recovery costs may apply if necessary.

Cancellation Policy

• Please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule  appointments.
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, missed appointments or failure to provide access incur a charge of £20.

Certificates

Where applicable, a chimney sweeping certificate will be issued upon completion of the service, once payment has been made in full. This may be required by insurers or landlords to demonstrate proper maintenance. It is the customer’s responsibility to retain the certificate for future reference.

Liability

• We will carry out all work with skill and care, in accordance with industry standards.
• We are not liable for damage resulting from hidden faults, loose chimney pots, defective flues, or structural weaknesses beyond our control.
• Any issues identified during the sweep will be reported to the customer, but we do not guarantee the safety or condition of the chimney system outside the scope of the service provided.

Health & Safety

• All work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
• We reserve the right to decline service if the working environment is unsafe or access is hazardous.
• Pets and children must be kept away from the working area during the appointment.

By booking or using our chimney sweeping services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These terms may be updated at any time and are available here on our website or can be emailed to you on request.
